Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion, 1 and [when] the earth yields up her burdens, 2 and the human asks: "What is the matter with it?" 3 That day it will narrate its annals, 4 as thy Sustainer will have inspired her to do! 5 On that Day will all men come forward, cut off from one another, to be shown their [past] deeds. 6 So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, 7 And whoso doeth ill an atom's weight will see it then. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
