The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
WHEN THE EARTH quakes with her [last] mighty quaking, 1 And the earth throws up her burdens (from within), 2 And man enquires: "What has come over it?" 3 upon that day she shall tell her tidings 4 Because your Lord sent a command to it. 5 On that Day people will go forth in varying states so that they be shown their deeds. 6 And so, he who shall have done an atom's weight of good, shall behold it; 7 and whoso has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
