The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

WHEN THE EARTH quakes with her [last] mighty quaking, 1 And the earth throws out its burdens. 2 And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- 3 On that Day she will tell out the tidings thereof. 4 for that her Lord has inspired her. 5 That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds. 6 and whoso has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, 7 And he who has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
