The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WHEN THE EARTH quakes with her [last] mighty quaking, 1 And Earth yieldeth up her burdens, 2 And man enquires: "What has come over it?" 3 On that day the earth will declare all (the activities of the human being) which have taken place on it, 4 for that her Lord has inspired her. 5 On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the deeds that they (had done). 6 So, whoever does an atom's weight of good shall see it; 7 And he who has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. 8
