The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 And Earth yieldeth up her burdens, 2 And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- 3 That day she will relate her chronicles, 4 Because your Lord has commanded it. 5 Upon that day men shall issue in scatterings to see their works, 6 And so, he who shall have done an atom's weight of good, shall behold it; 7 and whoever does an atom's weight of evil shall see it. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
