Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
