The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 And therein raising dust. 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
