Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And raiding at dawn 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
