The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
