The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
