Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
