Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 and produce sparks 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
