Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the snorting, panting horses, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
