Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the snorting courses, 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
