The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the snorting courses, 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
