The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the chargers panting, 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
