Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
