Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
