Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
