Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 until you visit the graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
