Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 Nay! you shall soon know, 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
