Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8
