Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 But you will soon come to know. 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8
