Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Abundance diverts you, 1 till you reached the grave. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 Again, no indeed; but soon you shall know. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
