Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 until you come to the graves. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 Then no! You are going to know. 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 You will be shown hell 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
