Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 until you visit the graves. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
