Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 till you reached the grave. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 Indeed, did you know with certain knowledge 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
