Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 No! You are going to know. 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
