Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you visit the graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
