The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 in columns outstretched. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
