The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In outstretched columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
