The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In extending columns. 9
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
