The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in columns outstretched. 9
