The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In columns outstretched. 9

Almighty Allah's Truth.
