The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 It will engulf them. 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9
God the Almighty always says the truth.
