The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In extending columns. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
