The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 In outstretched columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
