The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 thinking his riches have made him immortal! 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
