The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 in extended columns. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
