The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 In extending columns. 9
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
