Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Hast thou observed him who belieth religion? 1 That is he who repelleth the orphan, 2 And urgeth not the feeding of the poor, 3 So woe unto those performers of Salat (prayers) (hypocrites), 4 but whose hearts are not in their prayer. 5 to those who make display 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
