Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Have you seen he who belied the Recompense? 1 That is he who repulses the orphan (harshly), 2 And urgeth not the feeding of the needy. 3 Woe, then, to those who pray, 4 As are of their prayer careless. 5 those who want only to be seen and praised, 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
