Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 shall have a rope of palmfiber around her neck! 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
