Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
