Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 What will his wealth avail him, and all that he has gained? 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
