Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 [who bears] around her neck a rope of twisted strands! 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
