Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

DOOMED are the hands of him of the glowing countence: and doomed is he! 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
