Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 he shall roast at a flaming fire 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
