Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 shall have a rope of palmfiber around her neck! 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
