Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 shall have a rope of palmfiber around her neck! 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
